2021 Parish Mission: Socks Collection for Alaska

St. Stanislaus Church is looking to help support the Catholic Mission Community in Alaska. Many Alaskans work outdoors and survive from things they grow on land and from the fishing industry. But, they are forced to work outdoors in extreme cold temperatures and unfortunately it is not uncommon to face temperatures of below -40 degrees. There is an extremely high cost of living and Alaskans are considered some of the poorest people in our country. Transportation between villages is extremely expensive and they often only celebrate mass once every 6 weeks when the priest is able to rotate to their village. To support this mission community we will be sending them socks! We are collecting 2165 pairs of socks since the distance from Bristol, CT to Fairbanks, Alaska is 4,329 miles (each sock would equal one mile). Any support you offer whether it is a pair of socks or a financial contribution to help with shipping costs would be extremely appreciated. God bless you!

Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen

Modlitwa do Sw. Michala Archaniola

Swiety Michale Archaniele, bron nas w walce; przeciw niegodziwoscia i zasadzkom zlego ducha badz nam ochrona. Niech mu rozkaze Bog, pokornie blagamy; a Ty, Ksiaze wojska niebieskiego, szatana i inne zle duchy, na zgube dusz ludzkich krazace po swiecie, moca Boza strac do piekla. Amen
